I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I completed an undergraduate and master’s degree in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax with a focus on perceptual science and ergonomics. I completed my undergraduate medical training at Saba University School of Medicine in the Dutch Caribbean and will be graduating from the Medstar Health Internal Medicine Residency Program in Baltimore in June 2018. I will be staying on as a chief resident for the 2018-2019 academic year with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.

I am an avid sports enthusiast. Obviously being from Canada, hockey was and has continued to be an important activity in my life. Since moving to the USA I have broadened my horizons to include baseball and American Football. When not at work I also enjoy spending time with my wife and son, and look forward to passing on my love of sport to him.
